  • Same-sex couples' Centrelink hotline on way
    Centrelink is setting up an information line to ensure same-sex couples know how their social security payments will change now that the Federal Government has moved to eliminate discrimination from federal laws. From July next year, Centrelink will be able to investigate same-sex couples if they fail to declare they are in a de facto relationship, in the same way it investigates heterosexual couples now.
